As an Iowa City native, Parker attended the University of Iowa, where he earned his B.B.A. in Marketing Management from the Tippie College of Business and his J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law.
During law school, Parker competed in the University of Iowa College of Law's Mock Baseball Salary Arbitration and NCAA Infractions competitions. He also competed nationally in the Mock NCAA Infractions Competition in 2023 and 2024, earning first place in the written component and runner-up in the hearing component of the 2024 competition.
Prior to law school, Parker co-authored the paper "Purkinje cell-specific deletion of CREB worsens alcohol-induced cerebellar neuronal losses and motor deficits", published in the internationally renowned medical journal, Alcohol.
In addition to Parker's academic involvement, Parker served as Head Student Manager for the University of Iowa Field Hockey program from 2019 through 2024, during which the program won three Big Ten championships, including two regular-season conference championships and one Big Ten Tournament championship.
Parker has served as President of the Iowa County Bar Association and is a member of the Sports Lawyers Association Hockey Subcommittee. He also serves as an at-large member of the Board of Directors for Corridor Hockey Association, a nonprofit organization that operates Iowa's largest adult hockey league.
Parker also coaches the University of Iowa Women's Club Ice Hockey Team, where they won the 2023 WCHL Tournament Championship, and are now competing in the ACHA.
In his free time, Parker enjoys playing hockey, snowboarding, and spending time outdoors.
